Breakfast's ready. Come eat before our trip starts.

Wow. Why did Dad make breakfast today?

>> [laughter] >> Because

Grace would have time to get ready with you, too.

Wow, Dad. You're cool today and very thoughtful, too.

We're going to Bali today. So, besides beaches, [music]

what else will we see in Bali, Mom? Oh, so many things, girl.

We'll see temples, nature, and explore local cultures.

All right. Has everyone finished their meal?

The taxi will be here in about 30 minutes, so get ready. Yes, Dad. We'll

get ready right now. Check your hats,

sunscreen, and little travel things.

It's okay, Mom. We are really ready to go to the airport.

Before we go, does everyone [music] have a passport?

Mine's here. I checked it twice already. Good

morning. Where are you going today?

Please take us to the international airport.

Gate four. You guys are enjoying your vacation,

right? Yes. We're going to Bali today for vacation.

It's very sunny in Bali, so make sure to bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses.

Thanks. Mom packed everything very carefully already, so we should be fine.

Thanks for the ride. Have a lovely day. Everything feels so official when we

travel like this, This trip has a guide who'll help us.

They know the best places and teach us more, too.

We're here. The real Bali trip starts now.

>> [laughter] >> Welcome to Bali.

I'm happy to guide your family. Please get in the car and let's start our trip.

First, we'll visit Tanah Lot, a temple by the sea. Are we close?

I really want to see it now. Wow.

>> [laughter] >> This place is even prettier than I

imagined. The waves sound so strong here.

It feels amazing. Nature is powerful

and people built a wonderful temple here.

Built in the 16th century, Tanah Lot is one of Bali's most sacred temples,

dedicated to the guardian deity of the ocean.

Please stay respectful. This is a sacred place, guys. [music]

I've never seen carvings and shapes like these before.

These products are all handmade by local people.

>> Wow. Mom, Dad,

could you please buy [music] me some souvenirs?

It's amazing. Let's take some to give to our friends.

Next, we'll visit Lempuyang, the gate of heaven.

This is Lempuyang Gate, one of Bali's famous places.

We must take lots of photos here together.

>> [laughter] >> Wow, it's so wonderful. You look so

gorgeous, Grace. Oh my gosh,

this image is so pretty. All right, let's take a family photo

here, guys. 1 2 3, say cheese everyone. Cheese.

Woohoo! Also a little scary, but it's great and beautiful here. Oh my god, I

feel like you and I are flying over all the green land, honey.

>> Yeah. Tonight, you will rest in a bamboo house

close to nature. Today was full of beauty.

Mhm. Bali feels peaceful and alive.

It's pretty here, but I'm a little scared of insects. Here,

this will help. Then both of you can sleep well.

Let's sleep early now. Tomorrow morning will surprise you.

Wow, the hills, the trees, and the sunrise are right there.

This quiet morning is one of the best parts of the trip.

This video comes to an end. Thanks for watching our family Bali trip. Oh no!

The dog! It's chasing me! Oh no! Run, Leo! Run fast!

OH NO, MAYA, IT'S COMING CLOSER! HELP! MAYA,

there's another problem. Where are we? I don't recognize this place.

I'm sure we're lost. Leo,

Maya, can you help me buy some eggs? Okay, Mom. Superhero Leo is ready for

the mission. Go to the store with a yellow umbrella near the park.

Okay, Mom. We'll go and be back in a flash.

Oh. Be careful, kids.

Stay together. Okay, Dad. See you when we get back.

Buying eggs, buying eggs, buying eggs. Look.

The yellow umbrella. Wow.

We are here. Here you go.

Walk slowly so they don't break. Thank you very much. We'll be careful.

Woo! The mission is done. We're coming home.

Can we stay here and play for 5 minutes, Maya? No, Leo. Dad and Mom will be

worried if we come home late. Hey, look, Maya.

A flying toy. Leo, wait. Don't run away. Oh, no.

The dog. It's chasing me. Oh, no. Run, Leo. Run fast.

OH, NO, MAYA. IT'S COMING CLOSER. HELP. HEY.

Maybe you took its toy, Leo. Here. Go get it, doggy. Go.

Maya. there's another problem. Where are we?

>> [music] >> I

I don't recognize this place. It doesn't look like our street.

Oh, no. I'm sure we're lost.

It's okay, Leo. Stay calm.

We'll be home soon. >> [music]

>> They should be back by now. It's getting late.

This is not good, Grace. Maybe we should call the police.

>> [music] >> It's getting dark. How can we get home

now? I'm tired, Maya.

>> [music] >> My legs hurt. Look.

That lady is carrying a basket like ours.

We can ask her where the grocery store with the yellow umbrella is. Hold this

for me, Leo, and stay here, okay? Excuse me, ma'am.

Did you buy those eggs at the yellow umbrella store?

Yes. It's just

two blocks away, past the park. [music] Oh.

Thank you so much, ma'am. You're so kind.

Come on, Leo. [music] I know the way home.

Maya, you can see it. The yellow umbrella.

We are almost there. Let's go home. Mom.

Dad. We're back.

Mom, we were lost. >> dog chased us, and then we couldn't find

our way back. >> Oh, my.

And how did you get home? I saw a lady with the same eggs.

So, I asked her the way to the yellow umbrella shop.

You're such a smart girl, Maya. And the eggs are safe, too.

Thank you, Maya. I'm very [music] proud of you, girl.

Woohoo! The mission is complete. If you have any problem,

stay calm and don't be afraid to ask for help, guys.

If you get lost, [music] don't cry. Be calm and ask for help, guys. Have you

ever been lost [music] like us? Let's leave a comment below. Hey, Maya. I got

something special for you. Wow, this teddy bear looks so cute.

Uh uh

I I have something important to tell you.

My family is moving away next week. Are Are you serious, Sarah?

Hey, Maya. Why do you look so sad today? Nothing, Leo.

I feel bored now. Is everything okay, girl? Dad,

have you ever lost someone close before? Hm.

Yes, I have. It will make you really sad at the

beginning, girl. Yeah. I know that, Dad.

This makes me feel a little bit lonely. I really don't want her to leave.

[music] Maya, can we come in and talk a little?

Anything happened with you at school, right? Sarah, she's going to move next

week. I feel a bit bad inside, Mom.

Hey, hey, look. Maya, don't worry. I can [music] be

Sarah from now. >> [laughter]

>> It's funny, Guy. But no one can replace someone in our

life. So, when will she leave, Maya?

She told me that she would leave in the following week.

Hey. Why don't you make a special wish list

together? Do everything you want before [music]

she leaves. Wow.

That's a great idea, Mom. I will do it. We can draw together [music] and learn

flower arranging. Hmm.

Hmm. What else can we do together? She really

loves ice cream. [music] So Aha.

>> [laughter] >> Maya,

>> [music] >> are you done?

It's been a long time. Here. I tried my best for you. Wow.

It really looks like me, girl. Okay. Now it's my turn. Stay in, Maya.

Mhm. All right.

Here you are. Oh my gosh. Wow. Thank you, Sarah. Put

it like this and one more flower here. Hmm.

Am I doing it right? Oh.

It's beautiful, girls. Aha.

>> [laughter] >> Hey, Maya. are you ready?

Wow, there are so many amazing flavors here.

Thank you so much. Oh my gosh.

It tastes really very good. I will miss you so much after today,

Sarah. I will miss you a lot, too.

I made this [music] special gift just for you. Oh,

I really love it. Thank you so much. I will go back and meet you soon, Maya.

I have just said goodbye to Sarah. >> [laughter]

>> I know. Goodbyes are always [music] hard.

>> [laughter] >> This is a normal part of life, girl.

If you remember her, she stays with you.

And don't worry, we are still here right beside you.

>> [laughter] >> Leo, wake up, wake up, wake up.

I want to sleep a little more, Maya. Today is so special, Leo. We're going to

Brazil. Brazil? Oh my gosh.

I'll get ready now. Stay calm.

I'll help you. I need to pack my things quickly.

Did you pack your socks? Oh,

I think I forgot them. Kids, come down after you finish

packing, okay? [music] Okay, Mom.

We will be ready soon. Check everything carefully before

leaving, guys. I found them. I found them.

I think it's enough. Let me check all bags one more time.

I will take a lot of photos on this trip.

We are ready to go now. I cannot wait to see Brazil, Sue.

Okay, everyone. The taxi is here. Morning, sir. We're glad to see you.

Good morning. Please get in the car. Oh, no. I forgot my drawing notebook on

my bed. Sorry.

I will go back and get it quickly. Okay, we still have enough time.

I hope you have a great trip. Thank you. Have a good day, sir.

I have all the passports [music] and tickets.

Thank you, ma'am. Please put your bags on the scale.

Here is our luggage for check-in today. What are you [music] doing, Dad?

We are weighing the bags and sending them to the plane.

Your luggage is ready. Please go to the security check. Please take off your

shoes, belt, watch, and camera. Put them here. Why do we need to remove all these

things? They check everything to keep people

safe. Why do they scan people like that? They

make sure nothing dangerous goes inside. There are too many steps before flying.

Yes. Now we wait to get on the plane. Hey kids, it is time to go to the

boarding gate. Please show me your boarding passes.

[music] >> Here.

We have four people. Please come this way to board the plane.

Ah! Wow!

I love sitting by [music] the window. Brazil has festivals and beautiful

beaches. I can't wait to see [music] them.

>> Yes, and the Amazon forest is very famous, too. Mhm.

I feel so sleepy. Huh?

Hey! Wake up. Wake up, Leo. We're in Brazil now.

Wow. This place feels so different.

I feel so excited to explore this country.

We'll go to the beach, explore the forest, and enjoy festivals together.

Yes. Traveling together makes our family

closer, [music] right? Yeah!

I can't wait any longer. Do you feel excited before every trip

like us? Leave a comment below.

Something is wrong in [music] the kitchen. Oh, no! The pipe broke, and

water is everywhere. Hurry, we need to stop the water.

I found the valve. I'm turning it off now.

I promise, I'll repair it tomorrow. Oh, no. This pipe is leaking under the

sink. If we don't fix this soon, it may get

worse. Ethan, the pipe in the kitchen has

broken. Repair it, please. All right, I'll fix it later today.

I'm afraid the pipe [music] will break more if we wait.

Don't worry. I said I'll fix it today. I hope it is fixed [music] before I come

home. There's still time. I can do it soon.

Dad, your phone is ringing.

Someone is calling you. Oh,

thanks, kids. I understand.

I'll do this important work now. Does that mean you cannot fix the pipe

yet, Dad? I need to finish this first, then I'll repair it.

Hmm. I wonder if Ethan fixed the pipe yet.

Nothing has changed. The leak is still here.

Ethan, you still haven't repaired the pipe yet.

I have important work now. I'll fix it tomorrow, darling.

Fine. I don't want to remind you anymore.

Finally done. I need to sleep now. Oh, it's raining outside. I'll sleep

well tonight. Good night, darling.

What was that sound from downstairs? Something is wrong in the kitchen.

>> Oh, no. The pipe broke and water is everywhere.

What happened? Why is there water everywhere? Dad, what

should we do to stop all this water? I need to turn off the water right now.

Hurry, we need to stop the water. I found the valve. I'm turning it off

now. Phew.

That's much better. If I need the toilet, how can I flush it now?

Sorry, Leo. Only go if you really have to.

I promise, I'll repair it tomorrow. Let's clean up and then go to bed,

everyone. >> [music]

>> Push the water this way so it does not spread.

>> [music] >> It's okay even if I feel sleepy now.

Oh, no. Bad luck.

I am very tired. I'm tired, but I still want to help

everyone. I think the kitchen looks better now.

At least we can go back to bed for now. Tomorrow morning, I'll fix the pipe

right away. Oh.

I will go first because I really need the restroom.

>> Oh, you started fixing it early this morning.

Yes, I wanted to finish this before anyone got worried again.

Dad, can we turn the water back on now? >> [laughter]

>> The pipe is fixed. Turn on the valve, girl.

>> [laughter] >> Great. I used the toilet comfortably

again. Small problems can [music] become big if

we ignore them. What needs to be done today

should not wait for tomorrow. [music] Did you delay your jobs before?

We can play video games together this weekend.

My mom said yes. That sounds really fun, Leo.

I told you already, Jack. You are not my real mom. Just leave me

alone. I don't need you to tell me anything.

Huh? Why is Jack so angry? She is his stepmom, not his real mother.

So that is why she is not nice to him. >> [music]

>> I think we need to help him if she is mean to him at home. Yes.

Let's follow Jack, Leo. Be careful. We don't want to anyone to

see us. Look at that cat. It looks really cute.

[music] Hey, look, Leo.

The cat. Can we touch it from here?

>> [laughter] >> Oh, no.

Hi, Tom. She's coming. Let me brush your fur for you, kitty.

Do you think she saw us outside? Let's go to another window slowly.

Look, Jack's in this room. >> [laughter]

>> He looks happy and laughing loudly. What's he watching? Jack, please turn

the sound down. The neighbors may complain.

>> [groaning] >> Go away.

Don't bother me. Listen to me. I don't want us [music] to get into trouble.

Huh. This is so annoying. Hm.

>> [gasps] >> Something feels strange, but not too

bad. I think

maybe we were wrong before. I think Jack really likes it. Hm.

Hm. Here's your food, kitty.

Jack, dinner is ready. Please come and eat.

I do not want to eat with you tonight. I made your favorite chicken. Please try

it. I said I do not want it. Just leave me alone. Oh my goodness. Jack, be

careful. Why did that kid do that?

I'm really not his mom, but I'm really trying my best.

She really [music] cares about him a lot.

Maybe we were wrong about her. Hmm.

>> [music] >> She pulled him to keep him safe.

I told you already, Jack. You must be careful.

I know what we missed. We should help Jack understand everything.

Huh? What are you doing, kids? Oops. Uh-oh.

We got caught. Could you please let us meet Jack,

missus? She always tells me what to do. Every

day. She keeps reminding you because she really cares about you, Jack.

When you push [music] her away, it hurts her a lot. And she almost cried

when you broke the plate. >> [music]

>> Oh. Was I really that rude to her?

I have to say [music] sorry. That's it.

I hope Jack will learn to love her more. >> [music]

>> I hope they will become closer. So, we shouldn't judge people from one

situation. Understanding others helps us build

better relationships. Always open your heart

and show kindness. Have you ever misunderstood someone like

this? Hurry up, guys. Look at the time. We're

late. Wait for me, Dad. I can't find my other

sock. Mom, my backpack is so heavy today. You are [music] strong, Maya.

Have a good art class. Thanks, Mom. Bye.

Goodbye. Work hard, Ethan.

Thanks, honey. Enjoy your day off. Bye. Finally.

>> [music] >> Silence. Everyone is out. Just me and my

holiday. Oh.

The screen [music] is black. Maybe it needs to charge. 1 2 3

Still nothing. [music] Oh, no. It is completely dead.

Oh, no. No phone, no news, no Facebook. What do I do now? But, look.

The sun is [music] shining. The sky is blue.

Who needs a phone? I'm going out.

Usually I [music] rush to work. I always look at my phone.

But, today I am walking slowly.

It's so quiet without the notifications. >> [music]

>> I can finally hear the wind. Whoosh. It sounds like music.

The trees are very tall. >> [music]

>> The leaves are dancing in the wind. It is beautiful.

Mhm. Something smells [music] delicious.

Is that fresh bread?

Good morning, Grace. >> Good morning.

One croissant, please. Here you go. Enjoy it while it's hot.

Wow. So crispy.

Oh, a bookstore. Let's go in. This bookstore is so quiet.

I love the smell [music] of old books. Yes.

It smells like history, doesn't it? And the paper, [music] it feels so real.

No blue light like a phone screen. Reading a real book is

>> [music] >> good for your eyes

and your soul. You are right. I will take this one.

Wow. Look at these flowers. [music]

Do you want to buy some flowers? Yes, please. They look so fresh.

I want to bring some nature [music] home for my family.

I am so tired. My feet hurt. Grace. Are you okay? I called you 10 times.

My phone is dead, Ethan. I didn't check anything.

Did you survive without it? I am fine, Ethan. Actually, I was

wonderful. [music] I walked slowly, I tasted real food, and

I really [music] saw the world. Really? Yes.

Disconnecting from the phone [music] gave me a chance to reconnect with

myself. That is a good lesson.

No more phones [music] tonight. Just family time.

I love family time. >> [laughter]

>> It's completely empty. Just one bottle of water.

Daddy, I am so hungry. My tummy is rumbling. Do we have anything? Egg? Or

maybe some chicken? No chicken.

No eggs. Nothing.

Don't worry, Leo. Mom will be home soon. Maybe she will bring food. Wait. I have

a great idea. Let's order pizza. A big pizza with extra cheese.

Yum, yum. No pizza today.

I bought sandwiches. Mom! >> [screaming]

>> Mommy! You are home.

Mhm. Yummy.

Okay, I'm full. Good.

Now we have [music] energy. Now,

check the fridge. The fridge is empty. We need food for

the [music] whole week. Get dressed, team. Let's go shopping.

Welcome to the supermarket. Today is shopping day.

All right, family. [music] We have a mission today.

We need food for the whole week. Ethan, here is your mission. You need

meat and fish. [music] Chicken, beef, salmon. Can you do it? Meat and fish.

Easy peasy. Leave it to me. Maya, you get vegetables and fruits.

Find the [music] freshest apples and carrots. Got it, Mom. And Leo, milk and

eggs. Eggs break easily. Be careful.

Don't worry, Mom. Remember, only buy what is on the list.

No extras. We need to save money.

Yes, Captain. Let's go. >> Milk and eggs. Milk and eggs.

Wait. What is this magical place?

The candy aisle. Look at all these colors. It looks so

tasty [music] and sweet. Mom says I need to grow tall and strong,

right? Chocolate is [music] energy. So, if I eat this chocolate, I will be

strong like Superman. >> [music]

>> And chocolate is made from cocoa beans. So,

it is healthy. This chocolate looks delicious. And

these [music] jelly beans are yummy. I will take them all. Into the cart you

go. Oh my, a LEGO car and a robot. [music] I

can play with this while I drink my milk. They go together perfectly. Into

the cart. My [music] list says

vegetables and fruit. >> [music]

>> But look, a new collection of paints.

Wow. Look at this paint set. It is brand new.

The colors [music] are perfect. I really want it. I want to [music] be a

famous artist. It's not a toy. It's an art supply. It's for my school [music]

project. Mom will definitely agree.

Chicken. Fish.

Where is the meat section? Wait. Wait. What is that? Flash sale?

The Coffee Master? 50% off?

Is this a dream? The original price is $400. Now it is $200. [music]

It is 50% off. If I buy it, I save $200. Imagine, every morning a hot cappuccino.

I will be fully awake. It is a necessity. I have to buy it.

Yes. It is a bargain.

Come with me, Coffee Master. Let me check.

Rice, check. Soap, [music] check.

Everything is perfect. Grace?

Long time no see. Oh, hello Mary. How are you doing? I am

fine, but prices are crazy these days, right? [music] Everything is so

expensive. Exactly. That is why we have a strict budget

today. Smart [music] shopping only.

Are you alone? Usually shopping [music] is hard work.

Oh, no. My wonderful husband and kids are here. We are a team. [music]

They are helping me. They are very responsible.

You are so lucky. >> [music]

>> Well, have a good day, Grace.

Goodbye, Mary. Here comes my dream team.

Did you get the food? Let me check [music] the carts. Wait.

What is this? Chocolate, [music]

paint, and a giant coffee maker? Where is the chicken? [music]

Where are the vegetables? Grace, look. Look.

It is huge, and it is 50% off. But Mom, they are professional paints.

Oh. It looks yummy.

Leo, [music] we bought chocolate on Monday.

We have a lot at home. Maya, your room is full of paints. Do

you really need a new set? [music] And Ethan, even with 50% off, it is

still expensive and we don't really need it. It's not [music] saving if we don't

need it. It is wasting money. That is money for food for the whole week. Do

you want to go hungry? [music] You are right, Grace. We got distracted

by shiny things. I'm sorry, Mom. We will fix it.

>> [music] >> Perfect. Now we have healthy [music]

food and look at the total bill. It fits our budget. Shopping smart

feels good. And [music] I will cook a delicious

dinner tonight. Yay!

Let's go home. We are hungry. Remember,

stick to the plan and shop smart. [music]
